Couple of reasons:

firstly, the worlds a big place, maybe the biggest and there’s a lot of traveler info out there on people’s amateur video camera tapes and DVDs etc, that seams to be wasted on one screening to family and friends. Who often feiin interest simply because they are your family and friends. It occurred to us here at c2t that these same videos would be very usefull to a traveler on the road or potential traveler planning a trip. .Knowledge is power right? , Power to the People? So c2t is a vehicle for sharing your traveling experiences to those who are activly seeking it.

We’ve also taken in mind those who don’t necessarily travel but just like watching videos of exotic places and we encourage those members to upload videos from their local area, because someone’s boring hometown is always someone else’s exotic location !!
If you don’t travel,or plan to travel, you don’t like entertaining videos or hooking up with others and taking trips …….then you probably shouldn’t join us! See ya later

Secondly, what we have here is a social networking website that smashes the norms of the establishment and society as we know it today….exclamation mark!!!!! dahdahhhh!!!! Society as we know it in 2007 is structured around rules and regulations, laws and prisons. Then the internet came! While the web is free to an extent , websites are governed by their creators , administrators, editors and compromised by the sponcers.This is censorship but until now necessary for stopping spam and porn etc. The way we have built this website, we have handed over admin to the members by sorting the database in a way that lets content be rated by the members that have proven a track record of not being stupid and showing some responcability in their judgment, (e.g. clinking true for a hotel in Jakarta that is a video of a hotel in Jakarta and not the Taj Mahal in Agra, India).the more members we have, the more accurate this system will be. So we NEED you to become a member to make it work.
And participate in this experiment; I call it that because we aren’t really sure how it will turn out.
